Elephant Sketches

This is from just a couple of weeks ago. I love going to the zoo to sketch animals. I usually choose 2-3 animals to focus on, but this trip I wanted to focus on elephants. It took a page or two to get the hang of them, then I found that silhouetting them in and then adding definition was the way to go. I was challenging, not because the elephants move around, but because the crowds were constantly blocking my view.
